The board named Chris Hobbs as the new permanent chief.

The town of Huntland has a new police chief. Friday night The Huntland Board of Mayor and Aldermen met in an emergency special called meeting after Police Chief Charles Keller submitted his resignation Thursday at the request of Mayor Dalton Steele. Mayor Steele told me they would be selecting an interim chief, but in a surprise move, the board named Chris Hobbs as the new permanent chief. Hobbs was already a member of the police department.
